Bio -Matthew A. Engel
, born in St. Paul, Minnesota, is a graduate of Gustavus Adolphus College (1998, Criminal Justice/Psychology) and William Mitchell College of Law (2001, J.D.). Matt worked as a law clerk with the firm of Sjoberg & Tebelius, P.A. from 1998 until he graduated from William Mitchell College of Law in May of 2001. He became an associate with Sjoberg & Tebelius, P.A. in 2001 after passing the bar and receiving his Minnesota Attorney License. He continued to practice with the firm until June of 2002, when he opened The Engel Firm, PLLC in Maple Grove, Minnesota. In October of 2007, Matt merged his business law and estate planning practice with the personal injury and criminal defense practice of Aase & Kirscher, PLLC, to form Aase, Engel, & Kirscher, PLLC.
Matt is a member of the American, Minnesota and Hennepin County Bar Associations. He practices in a variety of areas, including estate planning, business, employment, and real estate law, probate, and litigation.
Matt and his wife Melissa, also a 1998 graduate of Gustavus Adolphus College, reside in Maple Grove with their two children. Matt enjoys the outdoors, hiking, fishing, golf, racquetball, and martial arts.
